The film takes a look at the life of a terrorist. Anwar starts off making money on small-time hawala deals, but later transitions to bombing plots. Anwar is a 2010 Indian Malayalam-language action thriller film written and directed by Amal Neerad. The film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran in the title role, alongside Prakash Raj, Mamtha Mohandas, Nithya Menen, Lal and Sampath Raj in supporting roles. The film's plot elements were inspired by the 2008 American film Traitor. Set in Coimbatore, the film also features Tamil dialogues.
